Title: Chapter Executive and Fundraising Officer Department: Administration/Financial Development
We are seeking a full-time team member to fill the position of Chapter Executive and Fundraising Officer for the Broward County Chapter of the American Red Cross.
The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of demonstrated success in major gift, special event and direct marketing fundraising in Broward County, including success in soliciting and receiving five and six figure donations. Well established relationships in and solid knowledge of the Broward County Community are required.
This candidate will have experience in dealing with multiple reporting relationships and be able to lead and manage sophisticated fundraising staff and volunteers. A visionary and strategic, thinker, enthusiastically advocating for the American Red Cross at every opportunity, this person will also be a relationship trouble-shooter and problem solver.
A bachelor’s degree from and accredited college/university and 5- 10 years of related experience are required and the candidate must have project management and program implementation skills, as well as extensive experience in planning successful events.
Title: Regional Database and Fundraising Manager Department: Financial Development
We are seeking a full-time team member to fill the position of Regional Database and Fundraising Manager for the South Florida Region of the American Red Cross.
This position will be responsible for the supervision of the financial development database, Raiser’s Edge and overseeing the Region’s Direct Mail program. This position will assist in the data conversion process and will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the database once it is established.
The individual in this position will supervise data entry personnel and provide guidance with regards to gift batch and donor acknowledgment letters.
This individual will also be responsible for developing and implementing standard operating procedures, for creating and changing account records, for generating daily and/or monthly reports as required by management, and for managing interface with NHQ and direct mail vendors and providing oversight of direct mail campaign.
This individual will provide technical support for planned giving, major gifts, and public affairs functions by developing mailing lists for in-house publications, & analyzing fundraising performance by appeal and campaign.
This position will also work closely with finance departments to reconcile end of month gifts and with the development team to provide donor cultivation.
This position requires a Bachelors Degree and five years of related experience. Strong computer skills; Extensive fund raising database experience with working knowledge of Raiser’s Edge preferred; and Experience with direct mail campaigns.
